What does True Blue Extended Protection cover?
All functional parts and the labor to replace those parts are covered by the True Blue Protection Plan. Functional parts are defined as part being necessary for the product to operate as designed. A list of coverages can be found in the Terms and Conditions included in the customer’s welcome email or in the True Blue customer portal.
What isn't covered by True Blue Extended Protection?
True Blue Extended Protection does not cover cosmetic damage, neglect or misuse, theft, loss, acts of God, and similar situations. For a full list of coverage exclusions, please refer to the Terms and Conditions provided in your welcome email or access them through the True Blue customer portal.
Are products used in commercial (apartment buildings, lobbies, offices, etc) environments covered?
Commercial usage is any application in which the product is used to generate revenue or is used in the operation of a business. If the product is being used in such an application, True Blue offers Commercial Use coverage to protect your appliances.
How do I receive my Food Loss reimbursement?
To receive reimbursement for your lost food, you must experience a covered failure and request the benefit directly from True Blue. Once requested, you must submit receipts for the replaced food for reimbursement. True Blue Extended Protection covers up to $250 per qualified service event.
When does True Blue Extended Protection begin?
True Blue Extended Protection begins at the expiration your product manufacturer’s warranty and continues for the term purchased.
What about non-covered claims?
True Blue Extended Protection offers coverage for costs from the most common non-covered service calls, including one-time protection for undiagnosed failures, maintenance-related breakdowns, and customer education. This benefit applies to one claim per contract.
What happens if I have a Power Surge?
True Blue Extended Protection covers your appliances against power surges from the end of the manufacturer’s coverage through the term of the protection plan. You must first file a claim with your primary home or renter’s insurance. If the claim is accepted, True Blue will reimburse you for the deductible, up to $1,500. If your home or renter’s insurance denies the claim, True Blue will handle the repair under your protection plan.
How do I receive my Dine-Out or Laundry Credit reimbursement?
To receive your Dine-Out or Laundry Credit benefit, simply contact True Blue at (844) 868-5817 or email trueblue@newleafsc.net to request your benefit payout. You are eligible for a $150 payment per qualified claim if we are unable to repair your washer or dryer (Laundry Credit) or range, cooktop, or wall oven (Dine-Out Credit) within 14 days of receiving your completed service request.
How does the Multi-Repair Safeguard work?
True Blue Extended Protection includes “lemon” coverage. If your product experiences the same covered failure four times within a 12-month period after the manufacturer’s warranty has expired, True Blue will issue a cash settlement or a replacement up to the original purchase price of the covered product. Once the product is replaced under lemon coverage, the policy is considered fulfilled, and the remaining coverage will not transfer to the new product. However, you can purchase a new plan for the replacement product.
What is the additional 5-Year Major Component coverage and how does it work?
When you purchase a total of 5-Years coverage between the manufacturer’s warranty and protection plan, True Blue Extended Protection provides an additional 5 years of coverage that protects you against failures the Major Component parts and associated labor of your covered product. A full list of the covered Major Components by appliance can be found in your plan Terms and Conditions.
Who will service my appliance should I experience a product failure?
True Blue offers a nationwide network of qualified repair technicians, servicing over 41,000 zip codes across all 50 states. When available, manufacturer authorized service centers are assigned to ensure you have the best repair experience possible. True Blue only offers coverage within the United Sates. If you move a covered product outside of the country, your coverage will no longer be valid.
How long do I have to purchase TrueBlue Extended Protection after purchasing my appliances?
When the product has at least 12 months of manufacturer warranty coverage, True Blue Extended Protection may be purchased for up to 11 months from the product date of product delivery. Commercial Use plans must be purchased on the same day and on the same invoice as the covered product.
Can I cancel my plan?
We’re confident you’ll be completely satisfied with your coverage, but if you wish to cancel True Blue Extended Protection, just call (844) 868-5817 or email trueblue@newleafsc.net for assistance. Plans may be cancelled and fully refunded within 30 days of the effective date of the protection plan provided there have been no paid claims or benefits. If the plan is cancelled more than 30 days after the effective date of the protection plan, it will be refunded on a pro-rated. How can I transfer my plan to a new owner?
Should you sell your home, transferring your True Blue coverage to the new owner is simple. Just call (844) 868-5817 or email trueblue@newleafsc.net for assistance.
