  • How do I buy an Ace Protection Plan?
    • Ace Protection Plans are available on eligible products purchased at AceHardware.com. At this time, Ace Protection Plans are not available at your local Ace Hardware location.
  • How long do I have to purchase the Ace Protection Plan?
    • Ace Protection Plans must be purchased at the same time as the covered product.
  • Do I have to register my plan?
    • No. Ace Hardware registers your Ace Protection Plan on your behalf. Once you’ve purchased the Ace Protection Plan, no further action is necessary for your coverage to take effect.
  • Are clearance items available for an Ace Protection Plan?
    • Yes! Clearance products are eligible for Ace Protection Plans.
  • The item is being shipped to a different address. Will they be able to use the Protection Plan?
    • Yes! The Protection Plan will be registered to the person in the Ship-To section of your purchase invoice.
  • How do I request service?
    • To request service, please visit www.newleafsc.net/acehardware. You can also obtain service by contacting the New Leaf Customer Care Team at 888-443-6804.

  • Can I file a claim online?
    • Yes! You can file a claim online by visiting www.newleafsc.net/acehardware 24/7 and selecting “File a Claim”. You will be prompted to enter the name and phone number or email associated with your protection plan purchase in order to proceed with your claim submission online. If you don’t have access to this information, you can submit a claim by calling our dedicated New Leaf Customer Care Team at 888-443-6804.
  • Where can I get information on the status of my claim?
    • To get an update on the status of your claim, please visit www.newleafsc.net/acehardware and select “Get Started” or by calling the New Leaf Customer Care Team at (888) 443-6804.
  • Do I have to keep my receipt to file a claim?
    • A receipt is not necessary for you to file a repair or replacement claim. Should you purchase a qualifying product, your Ace Hardware receipt is necessary to file a Maintenance Parts Reimbursement claim.
  • If my product cannot be repaired, how will it be replaced?
    • If we’re unable to repair your product, we will issue you a replacement credit via an Ace Hardware eGift card.
  • What happens if my product needs to be replaced? Should I take it back to the store?
    • In the event that your product needs to be replaced, please contact New Leaf directly online at www.newleafsc.net/acehardware or by phone at (888) 443-6804 for instructions on what you should do with your malfunctioning product.
  • In the event my product is replaced, will the new replacement be covered for the remainder of the protection plan term?
    • No. If your product is replaced under your Ace Protection Plan, the plan is deemed fulfilled. A new Ace Protection Plan will need to be purchased for the replacement product to be covered.
  • What does the Ace Extended Protection Plan cover?
    • Ace Extended Protection Plans cover your product against unexpected mechanical and electrical defects. Pneumatic, electric corded and battery powered handheld power tools are also covered against drops and accidental damage from handling.   • What types of coverage are excluded from the Ace Protection Plan?
    • Ace Protection Plans don’t cover accidental damage, abuse, routine maintenance, consumables or cosmetic damage unless otherwise specified. Additional exclusions apply; see Terms and Conditions for details.
  • How does the Ace Protection Plan differ from the manufacturer warranty?
    • Limited manufacturers’ warranties typically only cover defects in materials and workmanship for a short time after the product purchase. Ace’s Protection Plans add benefits during the limited manufacturers’ warranties and add protection after the limited manufacturers’ warranties expire. See plans by product for more details.
  • How can I find out more about the manufacturer’s warranties?
    • Please refer to your product manufacturer’s user guide/manual regarding the details of the manufacturer’s warranty. Many of these also exist online through your manufacturer’s website.
  • What does the 2-year Replacement Plan cover?
    • The 2-year Ace Protection Replacement Plan covers your product against mechanical and electrical failures due to normal wear and tear, power surges, and accidental damage (pneumatic, corded, battery powered, and handheld power tools only). Plan coverage begins on the product ship/pickup date indicated on your Acehardware.com order. Should your covered product experience a covered failure, New Leaf will replace the product with an Ace Hardware eGift card.
  • What does the 3-year Repair Plan cover?
    • The 3-year Ace Protection Repair Plan covers your product against mechanical and electrical failures due to normal wear and tear, power surges, and accidental damage (pneumatic, corded, battery powered, and handheld power tools only). Plan coverage begins on the product ship/pickup date indicated on your Acehardware.com order. Should your covered product experience a covered failure, New Leaf will dispatch a local service provider to repair your product. 3-year Ace Protection Plans also include the following enhanced special benefits:
      • Maintenance Parts Reimbursement (Lawn Mowers, Tractor Mowers, and Snowblowers only)
        • Preventative maintenance parts must be purchased from Acehardware.com or your Local Ace Hardware to be eligible for reimbursement. o Covered Maintenance parts are Lubricants/Oils (including engine oil), Filters, Product Specific Cleaners, Spark Plugs, Belts, Mower Blades, Tires, Fuel Stabilizer, and Batteries.
      • Large Item Pickup & Delivery (Lawn Mowers, Tractor Mowers, Snowblowers, and other large items)
        • The benefit provides paid pickup and delivery service for large items that need to be serviced in a repair shop.
      • 7-Day Repair Guarantee (Lawn Mowers, Tractor Mowers, and Snowblowers only)
        • If we are unable to complete your product repair within 7 days of the product being picked up by the service provider, New Leaf will provide a direct payment in the amount of $50 to assist with lawn care or snow removal services.
  • What does the 5-year Water Heater Repair Plan cover?
    • The 5-year water heater Ace Protection Repair Plan covers your product against mechanical and electrical failures due to normal wear and tear and power surges. Plan coverage begins after the expiration of the product manufacturer’s warranty. Should your covered product experience a covered failure, New Leaf will dispatch a local service provider to repair your product.
  • Are there deductibles for any of the service plans?
    • There are no deductibles for any claim under the Ace Hardware Protection Plan.
  • I live in a remote area. Am I still eligible to purchase a protection plan?
    • Yes! New Leaf has a nationwide network of service providers that will provide prompt, professional service no matter where you live.
  • Who will perform the service if repairs are needed?
    • New Leaf has a comprehensive nationwide network of authorized service providers and technicians who are trained to repair all types and brands of products.
  • If I change my mind, can I cancel my extended service plan?
    • We are confident you will be satisfied with your extended service plan. But if not, you can cancel your plan at any time, no questions asked. For more information, please see the Terms and Conditions or call the New Leaf Customer Care Team at (888) 443-6804 for assistance.
  • How do I obtain a copy of my Protection Plan terms and conditions?
    • You can obtain a copy of your Protection Plan terms and conditions by visiting www.newleafsc.net/acehardware/terms or through your personal customer account by clicking here.
  • What if I did not receive my email confirmation for my service plan?
    • Please first check your spam/junk folder and if you did not receive it, you can request that it be resent by visiting www.newleafsc.net/acehardware and accessing your personal account by selecting “Get Started”.
  • How do I know if I purchased a 3-year Repair Plan or a 2-year Replacement Plan?
    • To confirm which Ace Protection Plan you purchased, you can refer to your Acehardware.com order confirmation email, the Ace Protection Plan registration email that was delivered to the email address associated with your Acehardware.com order, or by accessing your personal account at www.newleafsc.net/acehardware.
  • Can I transfer the plan to a new owner?
    • Currently only water heater Ace Protection Plans are transferable. Transfers can be completed by submit your request to the protection plan administrator, New Leaf Service Contracts, in writing, including the new owner's information and a $25 transfer fee.
  • Is the Ace Protection Plan refunded if I return the product covered?
    • If you purchased an Ace Protection Plan on your product and returned the covered product, the amount you paid for the Ace Protection Plan will also be refunded via the original form of payment.
  • Can (and how) do I return the product if it’s no longer needed?
